What is Hadoop?

Hadoop is a distributed data management platform or open source recovery framework used to store and process big data. Sometimes it can also be described as a reduced distributed operating system. It is designed to manage and work with large volumes of data and to perform linear scaling to large clusters of thousands of trading computers. First, Yahoo! It was developed for, but is currently free through the Apache Software Foundation and is open to everyone, but usually requires the use of extensive programming knowledge.
