Akbank aimed to realize data management effectively and efficiently, and as a result of the project, Akbank set out to accelerate the process to move data-driven decision-making processes forward.‍

Akbank has identified data management as an important priority in its digital transformation journey to become a data-driven bank. By integrating data management into all business processes with Informatica data governance tools, Akbank improved data quality, ensured data security and accelerated data-driven decision-making.

Akbank, which set out to realize data management effectively and efficiently, aimed to accelerate the process to move data-driven decision-making processes forward as a result of the project, which focused on data governance, data management, business and artificial intelligence.  

In the project, data dictionary, data quality and data security studies were carried out for all data fields of Akbank such as customer, financial, operational and marketing.

Some of Akbank's key business outcomes from the data management project are as follows:‍

• Data management was integrated into all business processes. In this way, data management started to be carried out in cooperation between departments.
• Data quality improved. Data consistency, completeness and accuracy were improved, enabling more reliable and meaningful data analysis.
• Data security is ensured. Sensitive data, such as personal data, has been protected by masking it during querying without changing it at its source.
• Data-driven decision-making accelerated. Thanks to more reliable and meaningful data analysis, more accurate and faster decisions can be made.
• Increased personalized customer experience. Thanks to accurate and reliable data, it has become able to get to know its customers better, better understand their needs and offer personalized products and services to meet their needs.
