The solution process for ABB's needs began with the creation of the ABB AI Factory platform, which integrates more than 20 open source programs. The platform included a data lake infrastructure for storing and delivering data, a compute layer for processing data, a security layer for secure access, a governance layer for managing data relationships, and a data access layer for opening data to end users. In addition, an analytics lab was added to perform advanced analytical studies and develop analytical models, and an MLOps layer to present, track and analyze the results of these models.
Special plugins developed by Analythinx's expert staff enabled different technologies to work integrated. All technologies were deployed as cloud-based and ABB started to serve its internal customers through its own private cloud thanks to this platform.
While providing the financial advantages of open source software, this solution also played an important role in overcoming the difficulties encountered during the implementation and maintenance phases.
