Don't let your company memory disappear with Universal Analytics Data!

As of July 1, 2024, Google will close all Universal Analytics services and APIs, ending all access, including read-only, and permanently delete all data related to Universal Analytics.

If you have not downloaded or stored your historical data correctly;

  • You will lose your historical data and will not be able to access your historical data, including long-term website performance,
  • You will not be able to use settings accessed or used through advertisers or other product integrations,
  • Targets and ecommerce transactions will stop measuring new conversions, including linked ad accounts, and advertising campaign performance will be affected if these conversions are used in conjunction with Smart Bidding,
  • Audience lists will disappear, which can affect your ad campaign media activation and performance,
  • API requests will fail, including deleting data requests, and Looker Studio will not show any data,
  • Attribution Projects (beta) in Google Analytics will be deleted.

Due to the shutdown of Universal Analytics services and deletion of all data, Google recommends that users manually download historical data and export reports or import them to BigQuery using the Google Analytics Reporting API so that they are not affected by this change.
